This policy explains how Daily Spends handles your information.
All of the data you enter — transactions, budgets, categories, recurring rules, and preferences — is stored locally on your device in a SQLite database. It never leaves your phone unless you actively choose to share or export it. We do not operate any servers, so there is nothing for us to collect, store, or look at.
Free-tier users see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's Advertising ID (a resettable identifier provided by your operating system), IP address, and general usage data in order to show relevant ads and measure ad performance. If you purchase the Pro unlock, the transaction is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Daily Spends never receives, processes, or stores your payment card details. We only learn whether the purchase succeeded so we can unlock the Pro features on your device.
Daily Spends can send local notifications to remind you about your budget limits and to log expenses each day. These notifications are created and triggered entirely on your device — nothing is sent to any server. You will be asked for notification permission when you first enable reminders, and you can turn them off at any time in your device settings.
The app includes a backup feature that copies your local database to a file, which you can share or store wherever you like. Restoring a backup replaces the data on your device with the contents of that file. We never see or store your backups.
You can edit or delete individual transactions at any time. The Settings screen has a "Clear All Data" option that removes everything. If you uninstall the app, all locally stored data is removed along with it.
Daily Spends is not directed at children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact us so we can investigate and remove it.
If we update this privacy policy, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
